Title: XXI. I Talk of Dreams

What is the approach the writer used in the introductory paragraph? I felt as if it were a good approach to the thesis.

Thesis: I shall not be going too far if I say that it was on their part the grossest betrayal of vanity that I ever witnessed.

Was the introduction effective? (100 words) I felt that the introduction paragraph did not quite do its job. I feel that it was again boring and didn't really have a purpose untill the very end. The thesis was a little good and more worth it because it stated the main point of what the story was going to be about. However, that is what the thesis is supposed to be about.

What technique did author use in conclusion? In conclusion he used prediction to sum up his story.

Was the conclusion effective?(100 words) I feel that the story itself wasn't the effective. But I feel that the conclusion was effective. I feel that it followed the rule of prediction because in the conclusion the author stated what he was planning on doing and what he wanted to happen, therefore I feel that this was a productive conclusion paragraph.
